A drunk driver almost took the lives of our best friends, Carol & John, and their two beautiful daughters on St. Patrick’s Day 2010.
This picture shows the car they were pulled from before being rushed to the hospital. The past 2 years have been full of surgeries, doctor appointments, physical therapy, medical bills, and much more. Carol & John are the strongest most resilient people we know! Through all the challenges they have managed to always stay positive and even offer encouragement to those of us around them.
We are so thankful to God for sparing their lives and showing all of us his great power and mercy. Our friends were saved, but unfortunately many others perish every year due to drunk drivers on St. Patrick’s Day.
*ST. PATRICK’S DAY IS DEFINED AS 6PM MARCH 16 TO 5:59AM MARCH 18 BY THE NTHSA*
37% of all fatal car accidents on St. Patrick’s Day are caused by drunk drivers (BAC of .08+). That number is HUGE, but it only includes FATAL accidents. It does not account for the life altering, nearly fatal accidents that are also caused by drunk drivers on St. Patrick’s Day.
Please, please, please DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE!
